Hatfield: Pretoria East's Student & Embassy Hub
Hatfield is one of Pretoria's most energetic suburbs — a dense mix of students, young professionals, academics, embassy staff and long-term residents. The University of Pretoria anchors the suburb's western edge, and the Hatfield Gautrain station connects it directly to Sandton and OR Tambo International Airport. Loftus Versfeld Stadium, just south of the university grounds, draws 50,000 rugby fans on match days and transforms the suburb into a sea of blue. The embassy belt along Lynwood Road — diplomatic missions from across the globe — gives Hatfield a cosmopolitan character unmatched anywhere in Pretoria East.
The vehicle mix here reflects the suburb's extraordinary diversity. Student cars — hatchbacks and sedans — parked outside res buildings along Prospect Street. Lecturers' German saloons and SUVs in campus parking bays. Embassy-plated Land Cruisers and diplomatic sedans navigating the Lynwood Road corridor. Rental cars at the Gautrain station. And the growing fleet of student-transport minibuses shuttling between Hatfield and Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Centurion and beyond — Quantums and Sprinters that carry hundreds of students daily but rarely carry a brand.
For private vehicle owners, Hatfield's location along the N4 corridor means a colour change wrap or PPF installation is a 10-minute drive from campus. Drop the car before your morning lecture, collect it wrapped by Friday — we're one off-ramp past the CSIR. For student-transport operators, vehicle branding turns a plain white Quantum into a rolling business card that advertises the route, the phone number and the service every time it pulls up outside Tuks residences. One supplier for the bakkie, the minibus fleet, the shopfront — right here on the N4, minutes from Hatfield.
Vehicle Branding & Colour Change Wraps
Two services built for Hatfield's unique rhythm — branding for student-transport fleets, and premium wraps and PPF for private owners.
Vehicle Branding
Turn every student-transport minibus into a rolling advertisement. If you operate shuttles between Hatfield and Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Centurion, Mabopane or any Pretoria township, vehicle branding transforms a plain white Quantum into a business card that works 24/7. Full fleet liveries, partial branding, door decals and rear-window graphics — designed in-house, printed on premium cast film, and installed in our N4 Gateway workshop.
We design for visibility at a distance and legibility in traffic. Route information, phone numbers, QR codes and branding all cut from 3M and Avery Dennison film — the same material we use on Mercedes Actros trucks. Consistent across every vehicle in the fleet, delivered on schedule so your minibuses aren't off the road longer than they need to be. For Hatfield-based operators, our workshop is a single off-ramp from the N4 — drop a vehicle in the morning, collect it branded by the afternoon.
Explore Vehicle Branding →Colour Change Wraps & PPF
Full colour transformations in matt, gloss, satin, chrome and carbon finishes — plus transparent or matte paint protection film that shields factory paint from stone chips, parking-lot scratches and UV damage. We use 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF and Oracal premium cast film exclusively. Full colour change wraps typically take 3 to 5 working days; PPF installations vary by coverage area. Every job starts with a free design mock-up on your actual vehicle.
For Hatfield students and residents, the timeline is simple: drop the car off at our workshop before your morning lecture, and we'll have it back to you — fully transformed — before the weekend. We're 7 km from the University of Pretoria main campus. If you need a lift back to Hatfield after drop-off, just ask when you book. For embassy-staff vehicles, we work to diplomatic-standard finish quality and can accommodate specific scheduling requirements.

From Hatfield to Our Workshop
Our workshop is at 70 Banghoek Crescent, Unit 1, N4 Gateway Industrial Park. From Hatfield, the fastest route is via Lynnwood Road to the N4 on-ramp. Head east on Lynnwood Road, merge onto the N4 eastbound (direction Bronkhorstspruit / eMalahleni), and take the N4 Gateway Industrial Park exit — it's the second off-ramp after the Lynnwood interchange. Turn right into Banghoek Crescent and find Unit 1 on your right. Total distance: roughly 7 km. In light traffic it's under 10 minutes. During peak hour, budget 15 to 20 — the Lynnwood Road stretch can get busy around lecture changeover times.
If you're coming from Tuks main campus or a residence along Prospect Street, the N4 on-ramp at Lynnwood is your closest entry point. If you're near the Gautrain station or Loftus Versfeld, take Kirkness Street south to Lynwood Road, then head east to the N4. There is secure customer parking on site at our workshop. For vehicle drop-off, drive straight into the reception bay — we'll take it from there.
For students and staff who need transport back to campus after dropping a vehicle, let us know when you book and we'll arrange a lift. Most Hatfield customers schedule drop-off for early morning (we open at 8am) and are back on campus before the 9am lecture block.
Our hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We recommend booking your wrap or PPF installation at least a week ahead — workshop slots fill up, especially during semester breaks and summer.
