About Menlo Park

Menlo Park: Pretoria East's Academic Enclave

Menlo Park is one of Pretoria East's quietest, most central residential suburbs — a rectangle of tree-lined streets boxed between Lynnwood Road to the north and Atterbury Road to the south. It is walking distance to the University of Pretoria, Brooklyn Mall and the N1, yet tucked just far enough from the arterial roads to stay peaceful. Menlo Park Laerskool anchors the family feel, and the residential streets between the two arterial roads are lined with well-kept gardens, mature jacarandas and low boundary walls.

It's an academic and professional suburb: professors, researchers, senior advocates and medical specialists who value location, quiet and a home that is five minutes from everything without being in the middle of it. The vehicle mix skews European and executive — Volvos, Audis, BMWs, clean late-model Japanese sedans and the occasional new-model Defender or Discovery for the family. Menlo Park owners keep cars for longer than the Pretoria East average, which means colour change wraps are popular as a way to refresh a vehicle that is mechanically perfect but looks its age.

PPF enquiries from Menlo Park are almost always for new vehicles — a full front-end kit on a just-delivered XC90 or Q5 before it commutes to the university or the medical school. The drive from Menlo Park to our workshop takes about 10 minutes via Lynnwood Road and the N4. Several Menlo Park clients are repeat customers: they drop a car for PPF when it's new, come back three years later for a colour change, and send their adult children with a first car for branding or a satin wrap.

What Menlo Park Drives Here For

Colour Change Wraps & PPF

The two services Menlo Park vehicle owners ask for most. Ten minutes from Lynnwood Road to a finish that turns heads on the university commute.

01

Full Colour Change Wraps

Complete colour transformations in matt, gloss, satin, chrome and carbon finishes. We use only 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF and Oracal premium cast film — material that conforms to deep curves, lasts 5 to 7 years outdoors, and removes cleanly without damaging the factory paint underneath.

Menlo Park owners tend to keep their vehicles longer than most — Volvos, Audis and BMWs that are mechanically flawless but showing their age on the outside. A full colour change wrap gives that car a second life. Most full wraps take 3 to 5 working days. You get a free design mock-up on your actual vehicle before we print or cut a single panel — so you see the finish, the colour and the details before you commit.

02

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Transparent or matte polyurethane film that shields your paint from stone chips, road debris, scratches and UV damage. We install gloss and matte PPF from 3M and Avery Dennison — self-healing film that absorbs light scratches and recovers with heat. Full front-end kits, full-vehicle coverage, or high-impact areas only (bonnet, bumper, mirrors, door edges).

For Menlo Park, PPF enquiries almost always come in on new vehicles — a full front-end kit on a just-delivered XC90, Q5 or Defender before it starts the daily commute to the university, the medical school or the legal chambers. Applied in our dust-controlled workshop, trimmed by hand to every panel edge, inspected before it leaves the bay. Your new car stays new.

Absolutely. Many Menlo Park clients use us exactly like this — PPF on the new vehicle when it's delivered, and a colour change wrap on the one they've had for a few years. We handle both, in the same workshop, with the same premium film brands. Several of our repeat clients started with PPF and came back for a wrap.
